Red Egg and Ginger Party

Today was Tristan's Red Egg and Ginger Party. Translation = day where proud grandparents can show off their new grandson. It was held at the Empress of China, the same place where my brother had his Red Egg party many moon ago. Anyone who's local remembers one thing about the Empress...the PUNCH FOUNTAIN. And yes, it made its time honored appearance once again, for my son's celebration. What a delight!

Joe and I hadn't seen all of our friends and family under one roof since our wedding, so it was truly moving to say hello to all our loved ones.

This was one of my favorite moments of the day...Daniel and Ciara reunited at last.

And although the invitation said "No gifts please", Chinese people find it difficult to come empty-handed. We have extremely generous friends and family.

This photo is what I like to call "The Aftermath".

Good night.

  1. Hah, "day where proud grandparents can show off their new grandson." Yes, that's not the first time I've heard that. :)

  2. Truly adorable theme Gratitude for these photos. Nowadays the event halls for rent provide wonderful arrangements at decent rates. They not only do food management for parties but can also help you with the custom décor requirements as well.
